INSIGHTS / SYSTEM LAYERS

Detection, jamming and spoofing serve different roles

The three terms describe different functions. They should not be treated as interchangeable products or combined into one performance promise without a site context and authorized procedures.

Detection creates visibility

Detection describes what is happening in a monitored area. Practical value depends on the environment, track quality, update behavior and the clarity of information delivered to an operator—not only on a headline range.

Jamming is a separate intervention

Jamming targets channels on which a particular aircraft may depend. Its suitability is shaped by the threat, spectrum environment, effects on authorized systems and the applicable legal framework. Possessing a capability does not make it appropriate in every scenario.

Spoofing is scenario-dependent

Spoofing involves false or altered navigation information. Outcomes depend on the receiver, aircraft logic and environment. The aircraft's behavior when navigation becomes unreliable must be considered in advance.

Architecture connects the functions

A responsible design links observation, confirmation, a human decision and an authorized action. Authority, records, fallback procedures and stop conditions should be defined for every link.

Regulatory review belongs to the project

Procurement, import, deployment and use must be assessed for the selected configuration and operating context. Public material is neither an authorization nor a legal determination.
